29 August, 2007

I wonder whether we will see an investigation in this: "On the present open public procurement of the Ministry of the Prime Minister, altogether five companies competed, and all the valid offers had an 800 million HUF offer." 25 August 2007

Still waiting for an English or German version of the judgement. I already read some articles about the judgement, but the original is always very informative…

Something still missing in Hungary

4 August, 2007

Recently I saw an article in Heti Válasz (a Hungarian weekly newspaper). It was an interview with Zsolt HERNÁDI, the managing director of MOL (the “number one” undertaking in Hungary see: Figyelő Top 200). What catched my eyes was the following from the interview (translated by me): “On the other hand the OMV [the nr. 1 Austrian oil company] can not be regarded as a market player. On the one hand beacuse it is not operating according to market rules, on the other hand beacuse two of its owners have a determinant influance with a voting agreement between themselves on the top of it.”

Interesting… I’m pretty sure the battle between the two companies will go on on the market.
